QC job hunters to get support

QUALIFIED city residents seeking jobs for the first time will be financially supported by the Quezon City government in their pre-employment requirement expenses by virtue of the city ordinance passed recently by the 36-member QC Council. The expenses covered include the costs of the National Bureau of Investigation certification, police clearance, medical certificate, Mayor’s permit, court clearances and other documents required by employers. Principally authored by Councilor Donato Matias (District 6), the ordinance provides that the QC shall set aside a P1-million budget to bankroll the program, which is aptly called “Hanap Na, Pay Later.”
