A young mother was killed while her two daughters are still in critical condition when they were hit by a speeding truck while waiting for a ride along a portion of the so-called Quezon City killer highway—Commonwealth Avenue on Thursday night.
Police identified the fatality as Raquel Mancia, 29, who died on the spot because of severe injuries while her daughters, three-year-old Kylee and six-month-old baby girl Icy, are still being treated at the Far Eastern University (FEU) Hospital.
