The Quezon City government has added a new payment option for online payment of local taxes.
A Memorandum of Agreement signed by the city government and the Land Bank of the Philippines on Monday opened the gateway for online payment of real property and business taxes via the taxpayer’s Land Bank account.
Also agreed upon was the setting up of over-the-counter point-of-sale (POS) payments thru Bancnet and Automated Teller Machine (ATM), via debit cards.
Quezon City taxpayers will have the added convenience of paying taxes 24/7 without having to go to Quezon City Hall or its satellite offices.
Mayor Herbert Bautista said city government will next work on the payment of taxes through credit cards.
The city had introduced other reforms such as online registration of new corporations and cooperatives and the use of mobile money for local taxes and fees.
