QUEZON City Police District (QCPD) Director and Chief Supt. Joel Pagdilao was named on Wednesday as the new chief of the National Capital Regional Police Office (NCRPO). Pagdilao’s appointment was announced by Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Ricardo Marquez.
Pagdilao, a member of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class of 1984, succeeds Director Carmelo Valmoria who retired in July. He is the younger brother of former PNP spokesman and chief of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and now ACT-CIS Rep. Samuel Pagdilao.
Chief Supt. Eduardo Tinio will replace Pagdilao as QCPD chief.
Informed sources in Camp Crame said the changing of the guard at the NCRPO was the start of a series of reshuffles in the PNP.
