Two men, who stole a motorcycle from a woman rider in Quezon City over the weekend, were killed after a shootout with responding policemen. City Police Director Joel Pagdilao said the suspects tried to evade the police, who immediately set up checkpoints in several locations. When the policemen gave a chase, the two suspects started shooting, prompting the authorities to shoot back, ultimately killing them. Pagdilao added that the two had BCJ (batang city jail) tattoos on their bodies, which indicated that they have previously been in prison. He also said that victim Michelle Libre was later able to identify the two as the same men who poked a gun at her and forcibly took the motorcycle she drove. The SOCO team recovered from the suspects two caliber .38 revolvers without serial numbers but loaded with live ammunitions.
