• QC PUBLIC LIBRARY PUPPET SHOW ATTRACTS YOUNG TO BOOK READING

    0

The Quezon City Public Library’s (QCPL) crowd-drawing puppets Melay and Brainy are now on their sixth year of performances to entertain as well as to instil positive values to library-goers, especially school children who have to learn to love reading books. The QCPL’s popular puppet show is an encouraging strategy that the office had conceptualized to catch the attention of book-snub young learners with the hope of gearing them towards understanding and learning more through reading. The hand-puppet show played by the QCPL’s office personnel had staged the stories of people from all walks of life—from ordinary individuals, to known celebrities, to our national heroes like Melchora Aquino.
