MOTORISTS are cautioned of heavy traffic in some parts of Quezon City this weekend as the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced that at least five areas will undergo road reblocking and repair works by the Department of Public Works and Highways.
Affected roads include Mindanao Avenue from Mindanao Boundary to Old Sauyo Road, fourth inner lane, both northbound and southbound; Commonwealth Avenue, Litex Pedestrian Overpass to LP Machine Works, third lane.
Closed to vehicular traffic are parts of Batasan Road from DSWD to Payatas Road, first inner lane; Congressional Avenue Extension before Our Lady Court Subd. to Luzon Avenue, third lane; and along C.P. Garcia Avenue from Baluyot St. to H.R. Ocampo, second lane, all eastbound portions.
Road reblocking activities will start at 10 p.m. on Friday and will last until 5 a.m. on Monday.
“All affected roads are expected to be opened to vehicular traffic at 5 a.m. on Monday,” the MMDA said.
