QC urged to prepare for INC centennial

Quezon City councilors are urging Mayor Herbert Bautista to create an Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) centennial committee to ensure an orderly and organized celebration of the INC centennial on July 27.

QC Resolution 5852, S-2014, introduced by Precious Hipolito-Castelo, Jessica Castelo Daza, Melencio Castelo Jr., Karl Edgar Castelo, Diorella Maria Sotto, Gian Carlo Sotto, Eufemio Lagumbay, Jesus Manuel Suntay and Godofredo Liban 2nd, is aimed at helping ensure that the 100th year founding anniversary of INC will be well- organized as it will make “history.”

The councilors said that because QC is the seat of the INC Central Office, thousands of people from around the world will come to take part in the celebration, thus a close coordination with the INC leadership is needed to enable the city to plan for the necessary public order and safety measures.

“Considering the global scale of the occasion, it is projected that a grand and impressive commemoration will take place to herald the history,” the resolution said.
