QC urges city’s men to avail of free HIV testing

Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte of Quezon City urged male residents of the city to get tested for the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and avail of free HIV testing at the Klinika Bernardo. The said clinic caters to males, providing those found to be HIV-positive with free counselling and treatment. The pronouncement came after city officials learned from a recent study that from 1984 to the present, of the 21,526 cases reported, almost half (9,674) were tallied in the National Capital Region.
