JAKARTA: A 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck in the Banda Sea in remote eastern Indonesia early on Monday, US seismologists said, but no tsunami warning was issued.
The quake struck at 00:25 am (1625 GMT Sunday) at a depth of 428 kilometers (265 miles), about 300 kilometers from Ambon Island, the US Geological Survey said.
