Quezon food showcase launched

PAGBILAO, Quezon: The culinary expertise of Quezon-based restaurateurs is highlighted during the launch of the 4th Quezonarya at the Cortijo de Palsabangon Restaurant in Barangay Palsabangon in this town on Friday.

Local food fare including sinatolan (fermented shrimps with grated santol), pinais (tiny fermented shrimp wrapped in banana leaf) and chicken binakol were among the dishes served during lunch attended by Quezonarya members, students and professors of Hotel and Restaurant courses in Lucena City.

Tourism Organization of Quezon President Tina Decal said the activity is aimed at seeking a wider market for the culinary expertise of the province.

They also target local universities to include Quezon cuisine at least in the local curriculum.
