Rain or Shine guns for fourth victory

RAIN or Shine aims for the solo second spot and its fourth win when it faces San Mig Coffee while Meralco Bolts battle Globalport tonight in the 39th Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Philippine Cup elimination round at the Araneta Coliseum.

The Elasto Painters are currently sharing the second spot with Ginebra and Talk ‘N Text all three squads bearing 3-1 win-loss slates. Rain or Shine will face the Coffee Mixers at 8 p.m. following the Meralco and Globalport encounter at 5:45 p.m.

Coach Yeng Guiao of the Elasto Painters cautioned his wards of complacency saying that the Coffee Mixers are coming off a big win. The latter beat Air 21, 92-83, in double overtime to barge into the win column (1-3) on Sunday. Rain or Shine’s lone setback was at the hands of Ginebra, 84-97, on November 24.

In the other match, Meralco is seeking for its third win in five outings to get away from a tie with Barako Bull.

Coach Ryan Gregorio’s Meralco B-Boys are also hoping for their third straight win following their conquest of Air 21 (112-79) and Ginebra Kings (100-87).
