Rains in Metro Manila expected to last for 3 hours

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Sunday morning raised the yellow warning signal in Metro Manila which is expected to have moderate to heavy rains for the next three hours.

Under the heavy rainfall warning system, a yellow warning indicates an expected rainfall of 7.5 mm to 15 mm is likely to continue within an hour.

Communities covered by the advisory are warned that flooding may occur in low-lying areas and those located near the river and creek channels.

The weather agency attributed the rains to the southwest monsoon that has been enhanced by Tropical Depression “Maring” affecting Luzon.
