LOS ANGELES: Los Angeles fans will get their first glimpse of the NFL’s newly returned Rams when the club hosts the Dallas Cowboys in a pre-season game on August 13.
The contest is part of the pre-season exhibition schedule released on Thursday, kicking off with the Hall of Fame Game on August 7 featuring the Green Bay Packers and Indianapolis Colts.
“This is a historic year and we can’t wait to get in front of the fans for the first time at the Coliseum,” Rams coach Jeff Fisher said in a statement.
The Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos get their first pre-season test against the Bears at Soldier Field in Chicago.
While the pre-season allows teams to sharpen up for the real thing, and gives players a chance to compete for starting spots, the risk of injury has led some to call for fewer exhibition games.
