Rams receiver fined for ‘nap’ celebration

LOS ANGELES: St. Louis Rams wide receiver Stedman Bailey said on Wednesday (Thursday in Manila) he had been fined after pretending to take a nap in the end zone after scoring a touchdown against the Arizona Cardinals. The 24-year-old celebrated his third quarter touchdown in the Rams’ 24-22 victory by dropping to the ground, using the ball as a pillow and feigning sleep. However, the celebration fell foul of NFL guidelines barring the use of the ball as a prop, meaning Bailey faced a fine from unamused disciplinary chiefs.
