Rams rusher Watts banned indefinitely for substance abuse

NEW YORK: St. Louis Rams backup running back Trey Watts, the son of a former US lawmaker, has been suspended indefinitely without pay for violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy, the league announced Wednesday (Thursday in Manila). In May, the NFL issued Watts a four-game suspension for his first violation of the same rule and he missed the first four games of this season. Watts is the son of former Oklahoma University quarterback and US Congressman J.C. Watts.
