Based on figures from Kantar Media Philippines, the news and current affairs production is the most watched Sunday television program in the country from January 2015 to February 2015. Rated K also placed as the fifth most watched show in nationwide for the month of February 2015 with an impressive and sustained rating of 24.6 percent viewer share on a weekly basis.

For the past decade, the show also has consistently featured a diverse line-up of stories that mirrors and highlights Filipino culture—from inspiring stories of both celebrities and ordinary Pinoys; to the latest trends in technology, food, and fashion; and to unusual tales of mystery and suspense, among many others.

Moreover, Rated K’s flagship advocacy, “Handog Tsinelas Campaign,” continues to give away free rubber slippers to all underprivileged children in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao since its conception some eight years ago. Today, the show and its host has given away over two million pairs of rubber slippers to children across the country with the hope of restoring each child’s dignity.

According to Korina, the show has partnered with retail giant Puregold for its Handog Tsinelas Campaign, so that interested contributors may drop off rubber slippers donations in any Puregold outlet in the throughout the country.

Also in line with the program’s milestone anniversary, Korina is currently on a nationwide tour with her Rated K team for Handog Tsinelas, as well as to give away rice and bracelets among mothers in poor barangays throughout the country. She has further accepted invitations to give inspirational messages in campuses and universities in every stop.

“It is such a blessing that Rated K has stayed on-air this long and maintained its number one status nationwide on its timeslot consistently. With stiff competition on weekends it is something to be proud of. I owe this to all the staff of the show, the show’s executive producer Stanley Castro, and to ABS-CBN management for believing in us all these years. And we all it to all those small lives and the big news we derive from their generosity in sharing their stories with us.

“I think charity is a big reason why we’ve stayed so strong, and we intend to help more people. Our Tsinelas Campaign has been overwhelmingly successful, bringing slippers to poor kids. We intend to be even more interactive with our Trending Ngayon segment and letter senders with personal stories. Stay tuned because we intend to stay number one, haha,” says Korina.

Rated K airs on ABS-CBN every Sunday evening after Wansapanatym.
