Ravens’ Walker critical after motorcycle crash

MIAMI: Baltimore Ravens cornerback Tray Walker was listed in critical condition in Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital after a serious motorcycle accident Thursday (Friday in Manila) in southeast Florida, the NFL team announced.

Walker, a fourth-round pick in last year’s NFL Draft, played in eight games for the Ravens last season and competed mostly on special teams kicking players, contributing one solo tackle from scrimmage.

“Oh my God,” Ravens coach John Harbaugh said. “This is devastating news. Our prayers and hopes are with Tray and his family.”

Walker, 23, attended Miami Northwestern High School and played his college football at Texas Southern. He dedicated his rookie NFL campaign to his father, who died of a heart attack in 2014.
