Rebels ambush troops in comval


ZAMBOANGA CITY: A soldier was killed after New People’s Army members ambushed a group of patrolling soldiers in Compostela Valley, officials said on Monday. The attack in the village of Napnapan in Pantukan town, sparked a firefight that officials claimed left two rebels dead and six more wounded, but this cannot be immediately or independently confirmed. The identity of the slain soldier was not released by the military.
