THREE civilians were reportedly killed by a group of suspected New People’s Army (NPA) rebels after attacking a house in a remote village in Bukidnon on early dawn Sunday.
Reports at the Philippine National Police national operations center in Camp Crame said that unknown number of NPA rebels swooped down at the house of Eddie Gawahan in Sitio San Abel, Barangay Liarayon in Talakag town at about 3 a.m. Sunday.
Initial reports identified the three fatalities as Gawahan, Jermininda Yanda and her son Jonnel. The rebels immediately retreated toward the hinterlands of Lantapan.
Elements of the Talakag Municipal Police Station were quickly dispatched to investigate the incident.
