Red Ribbon opened its 250th branch in Island City Mall, Tagbilaran, Bohol, on September 14, 2013, 34 years since its first store opened in Timog, Quezon City, in 1979.
In a statement, Zinnia Rivera, general manager of Red Ribbon, said that, “We are thrilled with the opening of our 250th Red Ribbon store. Our cakes have become a tradition—an essential part of every Filipino family’s celebration, may it be birthdays, anniversaries, etc.”
She added that, “The opening of this store is truly a milestone. It goes to show just how much trust the Filipinos have given us.”
What started out as hobby-induced business turned out to be a proudly Filipino-owned business network under the country’s biggest chain of fast food restaurants, Jollibee Foods Corp. (JFC).
Since JFC’s acquisition of the bakeshop in 2005, Red Ribbon has aggressively worked on furthering its commitment of creating more sweet moments with families and friends by bringing their products closer to more Filipinos.
“This is our way of giving back to them,” Rivera said.
With its history of quality, the newly opened store in Bohol is one of Red Ribbon’s many branches that offer delicious pastries such as Butter Mamon and Cheesy Ensaimada.
Boholanos can also delight themselves with its signature great-tasting cakes and rolls such as the Black Forest Cake, Chocolate Dedication Cake and the Triple Chocolate Roll.
“We continuously expand around the country and even outside the Philippines to bring our products closer to every Filipinos’ home,” Rivera said.
