Rediscovering Newport Mall

Grand sale, fantastic deals for diners and shoppers
Just across Terminal 3 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) is Newport City, with the Newport Mall as the main structure for leisure, shopping, dining and entertainment.

Newport Mall is known as one of the most exciting destinations in Metro Manila for shopping, dining and entertainment

Made readily accessible for departing and arriving passengers from the country’s premier airport complex via the 220-meter elevated bridge Runway Manila, the mall adjacent to Resorts World has reopened following weeks of lockdown after the unfortunate events of June 2.

To mark its comeback, the establishment mounts the “rediscovery welcome treat” until July 31 where visitors can avail of as much as 70-percent discount from Newport’s popular dining establishments and shopping brands like Guess, Victoria’s Secret, Puma, Tommy Hilfiger, Hush Puppies, Charles & Keith, Michael Antonio, Coalition, La Senza, Call It Spring and iconic Filipino brand Bench.

“Newport Mall has always been known as one of the most exciting destinations in Metro Manila for shopping, dining and entertainment and we are excited to open our doors again. What better way to welcome back our guests than with a big sale and other fantastic treats that they can only enjoy here,” Newport Mall operations manager Mikee Vivo enthused at the grand reopening.

Vivo added that since the soft reopening on June 15, they had already regained 50-percent of foot traffic and expected the vibrancy of the mall in full gear by the end of July.

With executive chef Peter Ayson whipping up dishes for brunch, the café’s all-day Southern menu includes the Bourbon Street Hangover Breakfast – consisting of pancakes, garlic sausages, griddled bacon, potato hash, toast and eggs. At night, the ambience transforms into a cozy spot for dinner over drinks.

Wolfgang’s Steakhouse, known for its aged steaks, happily welcomed back its regular guests as they resumed operations. Actor Marvin Agustin and his Excello Restaurant Management Group partners Raymund Magdaluyo and Laina Bolinas were ecstatic in asserting the restaurant’s reputation as one of the best steakhouses in Manila.

Using state-of-the-art dry-aging room, prime meats are dry-aged for at least 28 days for the taste of concentrated beef flavor. The Resorts World branch became the first franchise of the famous New York restaurant in Asia, which paved the way for the opening of the branches in Hong Kong and Singapore.

Entertainment is back into swing again what with the line-up of shows resuming at the Newport Performing Arts Theater.

Known to many as the venue of ABS-CBN’s “The Voice” grand finals, “The Voice Teens” is also nearing its conclusion and fans and supporters are expected to troop to the theater for the live performances until the first winner of this edition is proclaimed.

Complementing family time, Newport Cinemas now have special rates on tickets for as low as P150 for children 12 years and below from 1 pm to 4 pm, while adults may enjoy movies for P170.

Finally, to make evenings more exciting, musical events and live performances are set every night at The Plaza as well. Among the featured artists and performers are the Mocha Girls, Primo, TNT Singers Froilan Canlas, Marielle Montellano and Sam Mangubat with the Arrangers and Juan Miguel Salvador & The Authority Band. Metro Manila’s top DJs also spin to the delight of music and sound aficionados.
