CHICAGO: William “Refrigerator” Perry, a former Chicago Bears defender who was among the NFL’s most popular players of the 1980s, says he is well after being hospitalized for a leg infection.
Perry, 53, was hospitalized at Chicago’s Northwestern Memorial Hospital after being diagnosed while trying to obtain medication refills for diabetes and other ailments.
