Region 3 police linked to illegal drugs warned

Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) Officer-in-charge Police Chief Supt. Aaron Aquino vowed to cleanse the ranks of Central Luzon police and threatened to kill cops who will be found or proven to be involved in illegal drug operations.

This was the “ultimatum” Aquino issued during his visit to Camp Alejo Santos in the City of Malolos, Bulacan, on Friday morning where he was given an arrival honor parade followed by a command conference with the 21 municipal and three city police station commanders.

In his speech, he directed acting provincial director for Bulacan Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat to step up the campaign against all forms of illegal activities, particularly illegal drug operations in line with the all-out war directive of President-elect Rodrigo Duterte against types of crimes in the country.

Aquino also wanted the entire region of Central Luzon, the police provincial and city police offices to have a “Bahay Pag-asa” or a reform center for drug users who want to undergo rehabilitation to become productive citizens.

“Let’s do our job, our mandates properly. Let’s be productive. Let’s go away from illegal activities, especially drugs. Kung mayroon man dito gumagamit [If there are those who are using drugs], I tell you to stop it. We will be serious about this. If you’re in to this, please stop… Patayin ang lahat ng pulis na involve sa droga! [Kill all police involved in drugs]”, Aquino said.

The police official also lauded the Bulacan PNP as the first police provincial office nationwide to receive a monetary reward for its numerous operational accomplishments against illegal drugs.

a police officer just vowed to kill without due process.

  2. Provincial commanders must do some background check of police officers who get the monetary reward for killing or apprehending drug lords/pushers because some police scalawags might even be laughing at your backs by them killing their “own pushers” of rehashed or “retailed drugs” from the confiscated ones during operations. How do they know who among the high ranking officials or the rank and file were on the take or not? It’s only now that Duterte has won that everybody seems to be really working. Is it primarily motivated by the reward or the altruistic motive of taking care of our youth and citizens which is supposed to be their mandate according to the Constitution?
