A retiree from Iloilo has become the country’s newest multi-millionaire after winning the P76-million Megalotto 6/45 jackpot of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).
The 65-year-old father of two, the lone winner of the jackpot, got his combination 01-02-03-09-19-27 from lucky pick (computer-generated).
PCSO General Manager Jose Ferdinand Rojas 2nd handed the prize check to the winner at the head office of the national lottery agency in Mandaluyong City (Metro Manila) on July 12.
According to Rojas, the lucky bettors intends to share his prize with his children and invest in business.
He said the winner has been playing lotto since 2000.
The winner bought his ticket for only P20.
