Once more, Rock legends Bobby Kimball of Toto fame and Kenny Cetera of Chicago Experience are in town for a series of concerts. Their concert, aptly billed Rock Legends, is slated at the grand ballroom of Solaire Resort and Casino on October 10.
Also featured in this co-production by Steve O’Neal Productions and Solaire Resort and Casino, is the Zoo Band.
Kimball and Cetera are all set to rock their Filipino fans with the songs their respective bands popularized, including “Rosanna,””Africa,” and “Hold the Line,” and “Hard to Say I’m Sorry” and “You’re the Inspiration.”
Toto (from the Latin word “toto” which means all-encompassing to best describe the band’s musical style) was an American rock band formed in 1977 in Van Nuys, Los Angeles. Its original members were David Paich, Jeff and Steve Porcaro, Steve Lukather, David Hungate and Bobby Kimball. Through the band’s career, they numerous Grammy Awards.
Chicago Experience, on the other hand, started churning albums in 1968 with Transit Authority. It is the first American band to chart in the Top 40 in five decades. In Billboard Magazine’s Top 100 list, Chicago Experience came out No. 13 with 11 No. 1 singles, and five Gold singles. Impressively, 25 out of their 32 albums were certified Platinum. Kenny was formerly vocalist and percussionist of Chicago Experience.
