Revilla, Mercado swap posts

Bacoor City, Cavite: Incumbent Bacoor City Mayor Strike Revilla and 2nd District Representative Lani Mercado-Revilla swapped positions as they filed their respective Certificates of Candidacy (COCs) on Wednesday.

Revilla will run as representative of the 2nd District of Cavite while Mercado-Revilla will join the mayoralty race in Bacoor.

Reelectionists Gov. Jonvic Remulla and Vice Gov. Jolo Revilla, son of Mercado-Revilla and Sen. Bong Revilla, will both run unopposed.

Ayong Maliksi, who was recently appointed by President Benigno Aquino 3rd as Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) chairman, opted to concentrate on his new job.

Maliksi’s son, Imus Mayor Emmanuel, will surely regain his post as his rival Homer Saquilayan decided to run only as his board member.

Representative Pidi Barzaga will also seek the top post in Dasmariñas, while reports had it that his wife, Dasmariñas Mayor Jen Barzaga, will run for Congress.

Remulla admitted he convinced the politicians to form a new alliance and set aside the differences no matter what party they came from.

Still, they will have their own bets in the national elections.

Despite all the accusations against these people the Revillas, Cavitenos are going to vote for them? These speaks well of the moral decay of the populace.
