A MOBILE phone belonging to former senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. was confiscated during a surprise inspection, which authorities of the Philippine National Police-Custodial Center, conducted late Thursday night.

Senior Supt. Benigno Durana, PNP spokesperson, told reporters that the Headquarters Support Service (HSS), a unit that supervises the PNP-Custodial Center, found the cellphone inside Revilla's detention cell, after the former senator himself unwittingly informed the police about it when he posted a “selfie” to mark his fourth year in jail.
