Philippine Ambassador to Italy Virgilio Reyes has received the 2014 Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of the Philippines Alumni Association (UPAA) for his exceptional achievements and outstanding contributions in his field of endeavor.
Reyes is also the Philippine Permanent Representative to the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization, the World Food Program and the International Fund for Agricultural Development. He was elected a member of the International Center for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property from 2103 to 2017.
