Road reblocking in Quezon and Caloocan cities this weekend – MMDA


The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is advising motorists that the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is undertaking repair and improvement works along major roads in the cities of Quezon and Calocan this weekend.

MMDA said that the DPWH has scheduled concrete reblocking projects and road repairs in the cities of Quezon and Caloocan and the road repair work is usually conducted from 10 p.m. of Friday (July 26) to 5 a.m. of the following Monday (July 29).

The reblocking in Quezon City includes EDSA from Jac Motors to Dario Bridge I (Southbound, 4th Lane), Quezon City; along Elliptical Road going Commonwealth Avenue 3rd Lane from center island between Kalayaan Avenue and Maharlika Avenue. Going East Avenue 6th lane from sidewalk between Visayas Avenue and Quezon Avenue, Quezon City; along Araneta Avenue from Aurora Blvd after Palanza St., Quezon City; while in Caloocan City along EDSA at Monumento Circle (Southbound, lane 4), Caloocan City; and along EDSA from Gen. Simon St. to Monumento Circle between G. De Jesus St. and Gen. Tirona St. (Northbound), Caloocan City.

MMDA also advised motorists to use alternate routes as heavy traffic is expected at these areas.

DPWH said the repairs are in addition to the ongoing repairs and re-blocking works along various thoroughfares that the department is currently undertaking.PNA
