SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga: Authorities busted a robbery- holdup gang and arrested its leader and three members over the weekend in Porac town. Pampanga Police officer-in-charge Senior Supt. Marlon Madrid identified the gang leader as PO1 John Paul Tanglao, 25, assigned at the Regional Safety Battallion 3 based in Camp Olivas and a resident of San Marcos village in Barangay San Nicolas, San Fernando. Also nabbed were Joey Guia, 46, of Barangay Sta. Lucia; Dennis Bigeras, 36, and Mark Navarro, 25, of Pulong Maragul, Angeles City. Madrid said that prior to their arrest, the suspects rented a blue Toyota Fortuner in Barangay Balibago, Angeles City, and robbed British Nigel Witty in his residence at Barangay Sta Cruz, Porac. A passerby noticed a commotion in Witty’s house where he saw the armed men, prompting him to call the police.The suspects also robbed Witty’s neighbor, Suzette Soriano, and were about the escape when the police arrived. Recovered from the suspects were the Blue Fortuner, a gray Toyota Fortuner, a loaded 16mm rifle, a hand grenade, two laptops and assorted jewelries and bags.
