A man, who held up two Philippine Army members, was killed after shooting it out with responding policemen on Wednesday. In a belated police report, it appeared that suspect Ramillo Uclaray, who died on the spot, stripped Privates First Class Jonald Lintac and Junky Hidalgo of their caliber .45 pistols in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. The two Army personnel were reportedly doing civic work in the area when they were attacked. Uclaray, who was with two other men, immediately boarded a black van to escape. However, a quick police response team cornered them at Purok-4, Barangay Paradise in San Jose del Monte. The suspects reportedly started shooting at the police team, leading to Uclaray’s death. The police were able to recover only one of the stolen pistols, an Uzi sub-machine gun and the get-away van. Uclaray’s companions were able to escape and are still being tracked by the police.
