Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) is expanding its value hotel chain with three new Go Hotels to be built in Ortigas, Iloilo and Butuan within the span of more than a year.
The establishment of three new branches, which is in accordance with the company’s planned expansion program, will bring the total number of rooms in the chain to over 1,200.
“We are building strategically located branches in the Ortigas central business district, in Iloilo and in Butuan,” said Elizabeth Regorio, Go Hotels general manager.
Opening this quarter, Go Hotels Ortigas Center will have 198 rooms, while the Butuan and Iloilo are both set to open next year.
The Butuan branch of Go Hotels will have 102 rooms available in the fourth quarter of 2014, while the Iloilo branch will open in the first quarter of next year with 167 hotel rooms, making it the chain’s biggest branch outside Metro Manila, which will also have the biggest conference room among all Go Hotels branches.
Gregorio also emphasized that the Iloilo and Butuan branches are located within a Robinsons Malls complex, while the Ortigas branch will be near Robinsons Galleria along EDSA.
“Go Hotels Ortigas Center will serve the growing number of business travellers and tourists visiting the central business district and the malls in the area,” said Gregorio.
She added that “these are exciting times for the Philippine tourism as the hospitality business open more outlets, especially in Metro Manila, in anticipation of the arrival of more tourists because of the government’s focus on the industry.”
As of now, Go Hotels has 700 rooms in its portfolio. Its six existing branches are in EDSA-Mandaluyong, Tacloban, Duma-guete, Bacolod, Puerto Princesa and Otis-Manila.
