Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) has expanded its hotel footprint in Iloilo with the opening of the second biggest Go Hotel in the country.
“Our newest property, and our biggest so far among our regional properties, has 167 guest rooms and a hundred-seat function room to accommodate the growing needs of the MICE [Meetings, Incentive, Conference and Exhibitions] market,” Elizabeth Gregorio, general manager for Robinsons Hotels and Resorts, said.
According to her, the hotel is strategically located near a Robinsons Place shopping mall.
Aside from Iloilo, Go Hotels are also in other popular destinations like Puerto Princesa (Palawan), Bacolod (Negros Occidental), Tacloban (Leyte), Dumaguete (Negros Oriental), Otis-Manila and Mandaluyong City.
RLC has identified the locations where it will build the next three new Go Hotels it is planning to build within the span of a year. Specifically, the new hotels will be built at the Ortigas Center in Metro Manila, Iloilo and Butuan.
The establishment of three new branches, which is in accordance with the company’s planned expansion program for its hotel chain, will bring the total number of rooms in the chain to over 1,200.
Late last year, RLC firmed up its strategic partnership for its hotel expansion, securing a joint venture deal with the property arm of the Roxas group as well as with franchisee Vanguard Hotels Pte Ltd.
The partnership, according to the Gokongwei-led real estate company, aims to build a minimum of five Go Hotels, the group’s value hotel chain, over the next two years in key strategic locations.
