GOKONGWEI-OWNED Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc. said January to June net income rose 10.9 percent from a year ago to P2.16 billion led by strong sales across all its store formats.
It said consolidated net sales grew 16.9 percent year-on-year to P48.33 billion, driven by same-store sales growth.
For the second quarter alone, net income went up by 17.8 percent to P1.33 billion while net sales climbed 18.5 percent to P25.63 billion.
From July last year to June this year, the company added 128 stores to its portfolio, raising its store count to 1,527 as of end-June, with a total gross floor area of 998,000 square meters.
Including The Generics Pharmacy’s franchised store network of 1,878 outlets, it had a total of 3,405 stores as of end-June.
Capital spending in the first six months reached P3.53 billion, it said.
