ROCKWELL Land Corp. is hoping to get a bigger share of the booming commercial space business in the country by expanding its leasable space by nearly 160,000 square meters (sqm).
Rockwell is now developing The Rockwell Business Center-Sheridan in Mandaluyong and Santolan Town Plaza, which will be a retail-office development in Quezon City.
The move to expand in the commercial space segment follows its aggressive expansion in the residential sector.
Rockwell initially engaged in office development by building Rockwell Business Center-Ortigas as early as 2009. However, it opted to concentrate more on residential development before going back to office development just last year with its 8 Rockwell project.
The Ortigas business center has a total gross leasable area (GLA) of 73,000 sqm, while 8 Rockwell has a GLA of 32,371 sqm. The Sheridan project will have a total GLA of 44,000 sqm while the Santolan project will have a GLA of 9,775 sqm.
The Rockwell Business Center-Sheridan aims to provide an attractive setting primarily for the country’s top business process outsourcing (BPO) companies.
The development offers two Grade A towers, each with 22,000 square meters worth of gross leasable office space along with 3,800 sqm worth of retail selections.
Scheduled to be completed by next year, both towers consist of nine office floors equipped with top-of-the-line security and world class facilities.
Upon completion, the two towers will also be supported by their own lush garden decks to provide office locators with a breezy atmosphere, making it easier to take a break from the daily business grind.
Santolan Town Plaza moves to the forefront as Rockwell’s Retailscapes’ pioneer retail-office development. Located at the center of San Juan, Santolan Town Plaza is just a few blocks away from the Greenhills shopping centers along with several other major establishments.
The project’s 9,775 sqm worth of gross leasable office space has different floor cuts ranging from 150 sqm to 1,975 sqm to cater to the needs of various trades and businesses.
