• Romero, Globalport cagers inaugurate court for Tacloban youth


    BRIEFS-ROMERO20160423Globalport owner and 1Pacman Partylist No. 1 nominee Mikee Romero with his daughter Milka and Batang Pier players inaugurated a basketball court he donated for the youth of Pope Francis Village in Kawayan, Tacloban City. The project was done through SM Cares Foundation headed by its chairman Han Sy. SM Cares built 1,000 houses for Typhoon Yolanda victims. Romero also pledged P500,000 to the city’s several outreach programs. Also present during the occasion were Mayor Alfred Romualdez and officials of Canadian Embassy. The construction of the basketball court is among Romero’s many projects as part of his corporate social responsibility.
