• Rose, Stenson lead the way for Europe in Ryder Cup

GLENEAGLES, United Kingdom: Europe’s top pairing of Justin Rose and Henrik Stenson opened play on Saturday on the second day of the Ryder Cup at Gleneagles looking to extend the hosts’ 5-3 lead over the United States. The Englishman and the Swede won both their fourballs and foursomes on Friday as Paul McGinley’s men took 3 1/2 points out of a possible four in the afternoon to halt an early American charge.
