COTABATO CITY, Maguindanao: Residential and commercial districts in Cotabato City and North Cotabato province experienced two-hour rotating brownout since Monday due to scarce power supply coming from Mindanao power grid generators. Cotabato Light and Power Company (Cotabato Light) corporate communications officer Arlene Hepiga said the power deficiency rose to 320 megawatt after Therma South Inc., was put under preventive maintenance as well as the power plant in Misamis Oriental that supplies Cotabato City. Cotabato Light consumers will experience one to two hours power interruption beginning Tuesday. Except for residential areas and hotels with back-up generator sets power interruption for a minimum of two hours daily will be implemented. Hepiga said the power rationing will be lifted as soon as the power supply improves.
