MOTORISTS and commuters have to endure heavy vehicular traffic in Manila until Monday because of the partial closure of Roxas Boulevard for the Shell Eco-marathon Asia 2016 held in Rizal Park starting today.
The southbound lane of Roxas Blvd. from Katigbak Drive to T.M. Kalaw St. will be closed to traffic until March 7.
Heavy vehicles coming from the pier zone should turn left to P. Burgos St., right to Ma. Orosa St., and right to T.M. Kalaw St.
Light vehicles, meanwhile, can utilize one lane of the northbound side of Roxas Blvd., which will be designated for counter-flow traffic.
The Shell Eco-marathon is an annual racetrack competition that brings together over 100 student teams across the globe to design, build and run their very own fuel-efficient vehicle creations using the least amount of fuel.
The event is also held in Europe and in the Americas.
