Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) introduced Avia-RH Inc. as its new general sales agent (GSA) in the Philippines, as it launched its global rebranding here on Tuesday.
“We are delighted to mark the launch of our rebranding in Manila with the appointment of Avia-RH as GSA,” said RB deputy chairman Dermot Mannion.
According to aviation market think-tank CAPA Centre for Aviation, RB seems to have concluded a five-year restructuring phase that aimed to recover from its losses prior to 2011, and is about to begin a new five-year plan.
“RB is now following a boutique full-service carrier model, aiming to carve out a niche in the intensely competitive Southeast Asian marketplace,” CAPA said.
The government-owned flag carrier of the Sultanate of Brunei, RB has been operating for 40 years with flights to 15 cities, namely: Singapore, Kota Kinabalu, Hong Kong, Manila, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Dubai, London, Jeddah, Bali, Surabaya, Shanghai, Ho Chi Minh, Melbourne.
