STUDENTS with tablet computers have become the new target of motorcycle-riding robbers, a private school official said on Thursday.

Eleazardo Kasilag, administrator of Saint Nicholas School in Twinville Subdivision, Marikina City, said his students Timothy Nakamura and Maebell Tangon, both Grade 8 students, were walking to their school on Tuesday when they were approached by three motorcycle riders who snatched Timothy’s bag containing laptop and a tablet. He said Tangon declared that they were initially bumped twice before the actual stealing of the bag containing the laptop and the tablet. “She even whispered to Timothy that the road was quite wide for the cyclists to still squeeze on them with the motor’s side mirror. They never got the plate number nor identified the three snatchers for they were fully covered,” Kasilag said.
