Ryder Cup star injured after ‘losing chainsaw fight’

LONDON: Ryder Cup hero Jamie Donaldson said Monday (Tuesday in Manila) he had suffered a bizarre finger injury after an accident involving a chainsaw. The Welshman, who won the match-clinching point as Europe defeated the United States in 2014, posted a photo on Twitter of what appeared to be a severe cut to the little finger of his left hand. Above the picture, Donaldson wrote: “So folks in my time off decided to have a fight with a chainsaw and lost! Oops!! C u in Dubai.” The full extent of Donaldson’s injury was not immediately clear, but his words indicated he was planning to return to competitive golf at next month’s Dubai Desert Classic.
