LEGAZPI CITY: Gov. Joey Sarte Salceda of Albay urged various agencies to emulate what Albay is doing to its poor people, especially the children, in expression of compassion. Salceda suggested that the Department of Social Welfare and Development should start repacking Noche Buena packages for 1.1 million displaced families. “Five days to go and we have yet to see such initiative being played up,” he observed. In the spirit of giving, a sizeable allocation should be seen as an investment in national solidarity so that no one is left behind the seven-percent gross domestic product growth.
