SAN SALVADOR: El Salvador’s attorney general on Wednesday (Thursday in Manila) ordered the freezing of bank accounts and seizure of property belonging to former President Francisco Flores, under investigation for alleged misuse of a $10 million Taiwanese donation. The order came a day after Flores, who denies any wrongdoing, was accused of trying to flee the Latin American country—an accusation he also disputes.
