UP, San Beda clash in Ang Liga today


University of the Philippines and San Beda College will clash in the first division of Ang Liga at the latter’s home turf in Manila at 10 a.m. today.

The Fighting Maroons currently No.1, boast of a solid record of six wins, one draw and one loss for 16 points in the elimination round.

On the other hand, the Red Lions are tied with University of Santo Tomas (UST) and Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) with 13 points but hold a three-point advantage on goal difference to take the No. 2 spot.

San Beda notched a resounding 4-1 triumph over Far Eastern University (FEU) in their last match while UP posted a 2-1 win against University of the East (UE).

Two other matches will be featured in the first division namely the UE Red Warriors vs UST Growling Tigers at 3 p.m. at the San Beda Field and the ADMU Blue Eagles vs FEU Tamaraws at the Mckinley Hill Stadium at 8 p.m.

Meanwhile, Malayan Colleges Laguna will face Don Bosco Technical College in the lone second division match at the pitch in San Beda at 8 a.m.
