• San Pedro City has 7 New Barangays


    The residents of Barangay San Vicente in San Pedro City, Laguna voted in favor of the creation of seven new barangays during a historic plebiscite for barangay separation held on July 11, 2015. Commission on Elections City Officer Marriane Marfori declared the results of the plebiscite immediately after the canvassing with 6,541 who voted “Yes” and 1,729 voted “No”. The votes cast constitute 16 percent of the barangay’s total voting population. The newly-created barangays are Pacita 1, Pacita 2, Rosario, Chrysanthemum, San Lorenzo Ruiz, Fatima and Maharlika. The addition of seven barangays brings to 27 the total number of barangays in San Pedro.
