LINGAYEN, Pangasinan: The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) is now in touch with the National Power Corporation (Napocor) almost hourly in a bid to monitor closely the level of water of the San Roque Dam which at 6 a.m. on Tuesday was 274.25 meters or just below 5.75 meters to the dam’s critical level of 280 meters above sea level. Butch Velasco, provincial information officer, said this was done on order of Gov. Amado Espino Jr. amid the continuing sporadic rains in Pangasinan as a result of Typhoon Nando in eastern Northern Luzon while floods in some areas of the province brought about by last week’s monsoon rains have not completely subsided.
