TWO divisions of the Sandiganbayan gave Juan “Mike” Miguel Arroyo the go signal to visit Japan and Hong Kong to tour his children and grandchildren.
The anti-graft court’s Fourth and Fifth Divisions allowed Arroyo to fly abroad from June 1 to 9 to spend time with his family. He was ordered to post travel bonds totalling P120,000. Upon his return, he will also have to present himself to the court.
Arroyo is facing graft charges at the Fourth Division in connection with the botched $329-million national broadband network deal. He has another graft case at the Fifth Division over the alleged sale of a used helicopter which he passed on as brand new to the Philippine National Police for P34 million. JOHN CONSTANTINE G. CORDON
