The Sandiganbayan’s First Division has allowed former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to have a check-up at St. Luke’s Medical Center.
Last Wednesday, Arroyo filed an Urgent Motion asking the graft court to let her undergo a urodynamic testing (UDT).
The motion cited her medical certificate dated April 21 which recommended her for a UDT in order to diagnose, monitor and manage her “adverse physical and health condition.”
The Police Security and Protection Group (PSPG) earlier denied her request to accompany her on the said examination, prompting Arroyo to ask the Sandiganbayan to grant her the motion.
Arroyo, detained at the Veterans Memorial Medical center (VMMC) is facing plunder charges in connection with the alleged misuse of Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) funds with no bail recommended.
Plunder is a non-bailable offense.
